The „Solid Reason“ initiative was launched by the members of the European Association for Ductile Iron Pipe Systems (EADIPS)/Fachgemeinschaft Guss-Rohrsysteme (FGR) e. V. All members are committed to the use of robust, recyclable and mainly regionally produced ductile iron pipe systems in Europe. These systems consist of pipes, fittings and valves and are the basis for a solid reason on which we can all build.

Düker GmbH
Düker GmbH with two factories in Lower Franconia produces shut-off valves and control valves as well as an extensive range of pressure fittings in ductile cast iron. Its speciality is hygienic and durable surface finishing with enamel. With a company history going back more than 550 years, Düker is one of most tradition-rich businesses in the sector.
Duktus
High-quality systems for infrastructures in the water and construction sector as well as industry in general are developed, produced and marketed worldwide under the Duktus brand. At the location in Wetzlar, Germany, cast iron pipes have been produced since 1901 (currently in DN 80 to DN 1000). ERHARD GmbH is one of the world’s most important manufacturers of water fittings with more than 145 years of experience. Founded in 1871, these days products from ERHARD control, operate and secure water supply across the world and they are known to customers worldwide as a standard for high quality and durability. Particular focus here is placed on an intelligent “made in Germany” construction, which ensures maximum reliability and the proverbial Swabian solidity. From domestic connection valves right through to valves for power stations in the nominal size ranges from DN 40 to DN 3600, ERHARD also has a large product portfolio in the wastewater treatment sector as well as fittings for large-scale industrial plant.

Keula, as a trade mark of vonRoll, stands for cast iron fittings and valves which are developed and produced at the Krauschwitz location (Germany).
Keulahütte GmbH is an iron foundry with production equipment for the mechanical and manual forming of castings from 5 kg to 4500 kg. A major part of the annual ductile and grey cast iron production is used for the manufacture of hydrants, valves and pressure fittings.
Frischhut GmbH & Co. KG
In addition to high quality castings for the engineering industry, plant construction and the building industry, moulded parts for drinking water supply form the core business of FRISCHHUT. The company from Pfarrkirchen (Germany) which was founded more than 75 years ago, still bases itself on the tradition and dependability of a family firm. In the company’s own foundry, castings are also produced for safety-related applications in the areas of mechanical engineering, reinforced concrete and bridge construction.
Saint-Gobain PAM develops, produces and distributes high-quality ductile cast iron pipe systems that are geared to the market and customer needs for the transport and distribution of drinking water, wastewater disposal and surface drainage.
